Real estate as the catalyst for regeneration

Latitude Regenerative Real Estate is a company for people that are called to transform the way we inhabit the planet. It was founded by husband and wife duo Neal and Alissa Collins in Portland, Oregon in 2017. It wasn’t until 2020 that it evolved into what it is today, a purpose-driven real estate brand that seeks to make an impact in the world by using real estate as the catalyst for regeneration.

Why did you start it?

We started Latitude Regenerative Real Estate because there were no other real estate companies doing what we do or talking about the things that matter to us. The real estate industry is the epitome of “transactional” thinking–from how we design our homes and cities to the way the industry is in service towards finance, yet real estate touches every aspect of our lives.

As we face a global poly-crises we want to inspire and educate people so that they can see that they have agency. We can design for resilience and sustainability. We don’t have to wait for policy to change. We have the ability to not only transform our spaces to honor the places in which they are rooted, but also in a way that revitalizes and heals people, communities, and life on this planet.

Why is Latitude Sustainable?

Regenerative real estate is ultimately about the reciprocity between people and place. In order to do that we must remember that people are a keystone species which create habitat and living conditions that enable life to flourish.

In what way do you believe you are improving people's lives and the world?

We help guide people on a transformative process which helps them to express their desires for how they want to be in the world. It’s not about putting a solar panel on the roof and getting an electric vehicle. It’s about aligning towards life-giving principles and enabling people to be in relationship with their environment and community.

Where can we find Latitude?

As of writing this Latitude is working with real estate buyers and sellers in ten different US states. That changes regularly as real estate professionals from across North America seek to create a vocation that is both financially rewarding and impactful for people and the planet.
